At the annual Cherokee District Adult Leader Banquet in February 2010, six adult leaders from Boy Scout Troop 149 were recognized for their excellence, leadership, and service.
The Troop was also recognized as a Centennial Quality Unit.

Boy Scouter of the Year: Art M (Recognizes a troop leader in any role, for outstanding service and leadership; only one presented per District)
Scouter of the Year: Jeff S (Recognizes an adult leader in Boy Scouting, Cub Scouting or Venturing for outstanding service and leadership; only one presented per District)
Duty to God Honoree: Paul M (Recognizes a volunteer's contributions to Scouting's character development of youth members.)
