CPR Training 2004

Home

Jan 13 will be basic American Heart Association CPR instruction for all scouts and adults.

We spend the meeting watching a Heartsaver video and doing limited practice for 1 person CPR. We will have manikens to practice chest compressions and several guest instructors to assist.

Attendance at this meeting will meet the requirement for familiarity with CPR, required by many water sports merit badges such as swimming, motor boat safety, etc. A certificate will be issued for all Scouts attending this session. There is no charge for this.

Philmont-bound scouts and adults: Please plan to attend this 1/13 session. This will be the basic instruction. In future weeks, small groups will be able to complete the requirements to be "credentialed" with Heartsaver CPR (written test and maniken performance test) and receive an office AHA Heartsaver card. (Cost for this will be $5.00).

January 20(scouts only) & January 27(adults only) will be the dates of the second class. Other dates will be scheduled if necessary.
