Council Wide Advancement Training Class

The Council Advancement Committee invites you to attend the Council Advancement Training class scheduled for Saturday March 5th 2005.

The class will be held at Scoutland in Cleveland Hall starting at 10am and lasting until 4pm. Cost to attend is FREE as long as you sign up before February 21st. If you sign up after February 21st there will be a $5.00 per person late fee.

Lunch will be provided as well as coffee and bug juice (bring your own cup). Dress should be the scout uniform.

Areas to be covered include : Advancement Tracking, First Class - First Year, Merit Badges & Merit Badge Counselors, Service Projects, Advancement and your Troop Program, Summer Camp, Boards of Review, Eagle Scout Leadership Service Projects, Eagle Boards of Reviews, Advancement Reporting and a general question and answer period (bring all your questions).

All adult leaders are invited to attend; this class is not for scouts.

By way of introduction, I am Cary Fordyce and have recently relocated to the Athens area and have taken on the role of Chair of the Cherokee District Advancement Committee. I am most interested in hearing about the successes and challenges in the District and welcome your feedback.

I plan to attend the Council Training Class (below) on March 5 and encourage your participation. Please copy me on reservations sent to Ed Foster and look forward to meeting many of you there.
